Mr. Ramm has over nine years of varied technical experience including
approximately six years of service with Smith-Emery GeoServices.
Mr. Ramm received his B.S. from California Lutheran University in
Geology in 1994, became registered as an Environmental Assessor
in 2002, and became registered as a Geologist in 2003. He has both
participated in and been responsible for conducting both environmental
and geotechnical site investigations since 1994. The majority of
the environmental investigations performed includes numerous Phase
I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, underground
storage tank (UST) removals, and groundwater investigations throughout
Southern California. In addition, Mr. Ramm has successfully negotiated
regulatory closure for numerous sites throughout Southern California
as well as overseen asbestos abatement projects, and several remedial
excavations involving the excavation, removal, and transportation
of hazardous or non-hazardous soils. The majority of the geotechnical
work conducted involves the advancement of soil borings and collection
of soil samples in order to perform required geotechnical engineering
analyses for proposed construction projects. However, additional
geotechnical duties occasionally included excavation bottom inspections,
footing inspections, fault-study investigations, and preparation
of compacted fill reports.
Meredith
Church, Staff Geologist
Ms. Church is responsible for performing Phase I and Phase II Environmental
Site Assessments for commercial property transactions, including
site inspections, research, underground storage tank removals, soil
investigations, soil sampling, data analysis, and report preparation.
Ms. Church joined our team in July of 2003 after receiving her Masters
in Geology with an emphasis in Sedimentology from Loma Linda University.
Her research involved an ancient lake deposit in southwest Wyoming
and her thesis was entitled “Deposition of Laminated Sediments
in Eocene Fossil Lake: A function of Episodic Inflow Processes”.
Ms. Church received her B.S. in Biology from Southwestern College.
Janeth
Quintero, Staff Engineer
Ms. Quintero obtained her B.S. in Civil Engineering, from Javeriana
University, Bogotá Colombia and Professional Designation
in Construction Management from University of California, Los Angeles.
She is a Registered Colombian Civil Engineer and an E.I.T (Engineer-in-Training)
in the United States. Her previous positions include field engineer,
project manager, marketing director, and estimator. For more than
one year she has been responsible for performing Phase I and II
Environmental Site Assessments in the evaluation of potential environmental
risks associated with real property.
